For some reason, I find Aled’s survival extremely dubious at the moment. Maybe it’s the ghost girl leading him to a corpse?
Or maybe it’s because all the monsters are very clearly somewhere upstairs with him…?
A little from column A, a little from column B. 😀
to quote a certain space buccaneer… “i have a bad feeling about this”… that aside… really enjoyed the look of shock on the second to the last panel… it was a ray of levity in these dark times of Dark Places! 8)
Evan has good reason to dislike ghosts. Traumatic experiences, and so on. 😀
Honestly, what is it about historians? Always wandering off alone into the dark, with no sense of self-preservation… not even a ‘hey! I found something!’ beforehand!
Hasn’t poor Alex EVER learned not to split up the party? What do they teach intrepid adventurers these days? (Mind you, Jain is just as bad, but at least she stayed in earshot of the meatshield!)
It always worked in Scooby Doo.
And Ghostbusters.
I feel for Evan, acting as the fighty backup for these scholarly types is like trying to herd cats.
