Welcome back! It seems to have been worth the wait π
I’m guessing this is the scroll from chapter 4?
Yes, yes it is. π
Yay! I win! π
I love this comic so much!
Another fancy speech bubble effect. I don’t remember seeing those anywhere else ever, and absolutely love them here. It’s just another of those little details that make this comic so enjoyable.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Moderately.”
Excellent! And welcome back. So happy to finally find Dark Places on the TopWebComics listβyou’ve been favorited (as you have been in my heart lo! these many years π ).
Haha, thank you. I’ve been somewhat remiss in plugging the comic into the various rating sites around the place, which is probably an oversight on my part.
That is a clever trick. But I wonder why she bothered. Just because she could, or will that golem serve an actual purpose? It doesn’t seem as if she ‘programmed’ it to obey her, as it’s still following its old routine.
Nudging its perceptions slightly is a lot easier than binding it to her command, and in the meantime it’s tasked with ensuring the safety of the castle and its guests, so the explorers get a free bodyguard. π
That central panel, where the golem is trying to compute orders… Sick.
