And with a tiny epilogue, that’s Chapter 4 done. Thank you for reading, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it. 😀

There’ll be a brief between-chapters break and then Dark Places will be back with a new story. Stay tuned. 🙂

As a reminder, if you’ve any queries about Dark Places then I’d encourage you to make use of the formspring page to ask me stuff – even if you’re just curious about something you’ve seen in the comic, I like talking about it and will answer pretty much any non-spoilery question to the best of my ability.

There’s also the Dark Places page on Facebook and the Dark Places Twitter feed so you can keep up with whatever’s going on. Check them out, if you haven’t already.

Seeing that ghost at the end of the last comic, as well as the short page amount, made me think there’d be more to come. Oh well.

Is it Kos that made the broth? ‘Cuz if it is, I can’t blame Aled for not wanting it.

Apparently these vampires were capable of feeding on the living without actually using their teeth, or maybe even leaving their castle. I wonder how far the range on this ability is, and if some decent organization (*looks suggestively*) could get together (/habilitate up) a few sane vampires and have them weaken any armies positioned to invade. Slow, safe, temporary strength-drain sounds like the perfect way for vampires to become known for preventing bloodshed. :]

More a case of them sneaking out of the castle at night to feed on the villagers. 😀

Also weaponising vampires probably breaks all kinds of treaties and agreements and such, and doesn’t guarantee that they won’t turn on your own forces once they’ve drained the enemy dry.
